Islamabad: Pakistan Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhary, who is always in the news for his controversial statements, has questioned the upcoming film 'Panipat' of Indian cinematography. The film has not been released yet, but Fawad Chaudhary has already said that it has 'twisted history in order to show the Muslim ruler a crime.' Bollywood filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's film 'Panipat' is based on the battle in Panipat between Afghan King Ahmed Shah Abdali and Marathas. The film stars Sanjay Dutt as Abdali while Maratha Sardar Sadashiv Rao Bhau plays Arjun Kapoor.
Pakistan media report has claimed that people of Afghanistan are objecting to the film, Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhary has also objected to it. Chaudhary said in the tweet, 'When stupid people rewrite history under the ideology of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), then we can expect the same from them. See what happens next. Sanjay Dutt released the film's poster on November 4. After this, Dr. Shaida Abdali, former Ambassador of Afghanistan to India on the film, has expressed concern that after addressing Sanjay Dutt, “Sanjayji, Indian films have been playing a role in strengthening the India-Afghanistan relationship. I hope that the film Panipat would have been made keeping in mind our shared history.
It has been said in the report that the people of Afghanistan have to say that history has been distorted in the film. Afghanistan Ambassador to India Tahir Qadri has said that he is in touch with the Government of India in this matter and has conveyed the concerns of the people of Afghanistan to him. The report states that 'Earlier in the film Padmavat of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Muslim ruler Alauddin Khilji was introduced as a tyrant.'
