Islamabad: Pakistan has officially offered consular access in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Aisha Farooqui has informed that Pakistan has formally offered consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav for the third time. Aisha Farooqui said that we had made this offer verbally yesterday. We are waiting for India's response.
Earlier, India had made this demand from Pakistan before filing a review petition in the International Court of Justice (ICJ). But the neighboring country rejected India's demand to meet Kulbhushan Jadhav. However, 2 officers were allowed to reach Jadhav. In fact, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had on Friday offered consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav in the absence of Pakistani officials. While officials of the Indian High Commission got permission to meet Jadhav on Thursday, Pakistani officials were present at that time.
Let us tell you that after meeting Jadhav, India accused Pakistan of violating the decision of the International Tribunal. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava had said that two officers of the Indian High Commission were allowed to meet Kulbhushan Jadhav. Officers also objected to this.
