A mob of fundamentalists also set the temple on fire after vandalizing it. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, with many people seen breaking the walls and roof of the temple.

The crowd attacked the temple so much that it has completely destroyed it. This is not the first incident to damage the temple in Pakistan, there have been many attacks on temples. A Twitter handle named War of Pakistan Minority has also posted a video showing people breaking the temple. According to a Pakistani journalist, Hindus had taken permission from the administration to expand the temple, but the local clerics mobilized to destroy the temple and carried out the incident. It is also being said that the local administration and police officials remained silent spectators as the temple was sunk under the earth.

The historic temple located in Teri village in Karak district and the tomb of Paramhans Ji Maharaj were being renovated and expanded according to a Supreme Court ruling in 2015. The temple was earlier demolished by a local mufti in 1997 and illegally captured.
