25-year-old Marlee Liss of Canada, a victim of sexual violence, is helping her victims of abuse and violence, forgetting the fate they had with her. Marlene Liss, a resident of Ontario, says that instead of punishing the culprit, her focus is to heal the victim's wounds and teach them the art of living anew.

According to a Canadian local media report, Marlee Liss faced her rapist for about 4 hours in 2019 (restorative justice process). Liss forgives the rapist. She says she needs to forget a bad past and move on. Since then, she has been helping women of her own type of sexual violence.

Liss said in an interview, 'I have had the privilege of working with about 40 women so far. After violence with a woman, we work on things like her treatment, feeling embarrassed, loving her body and exposing the patriarchal system. Liss said that the court process is as painful as violence, which does not allow you to come out of this pain. He said that defending the attacker by the lawyer makes you feel victimized. Liss only wanted to know why the rapist did this to him. Liss says that if she had known about the restorative justice process earlier, she would have saved herself from the trauma caused by the court proceedings. He said that the restorative justices process was organized as a meditation circle, where the victim's mother, sister, a friend of his, two meditators, two lawyers and the offender himself were present. Here, he expressed his pain in front of everyone for 8 hours and told how bad this incident has affected his life. Liss has also started an organization called Re Humanize, which works to make women victims of sexual violence aware of their rights and get them justice.
