Three Pakistani players test positive for coronavirus

New Delhi: Pakistan cricket team suffered a major setback before going on a tour of England. A worrying news has emerged for the team. Two players, including star spinner Shadab Khan from the team, have been found corona infected. Haasir Rauf, the young batsman who was selected in the England tour team, has also been found to be corona infected.

Under-19 star Hyder was recently included in the team touring England. He was to make his international debut on the tour. Pakistan have to tour England for three Tests and as many T20 matches. A few days ago, a 29-member team going on this tour has been announced. The information given by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) names Shadab, Haider and Rauf who have been found corona infected. On Monday, the board confirmed that all three players were infected with the virus.

The medical panel of PCB is in contact with all three cricketers. All of these are instructed to remain in self isolation. Imad Wasim and Usman Shinwari were also arrested in Rawalpindi. They will be able to travel from Lahore on 24 June.
