Srinagar: Since the abrogation of Section 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is now targeting residential areas by violating ceasefire along the border. Pakistani troops have reportedly resorted to firing in areas bordering the Line of Control (LoC). According to the latest information, Pakistan has resorted to firing in Kerry sector adjoining LoC in Rajouri district.

In this sector, Pakistan has been intermittently firing since last night. As a precautionary measure, an order has been issued to close 3 to 4 primary schools around the border in Kerry sector. Indian Army has also retaliated to Pakistan's firing. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan, which was trying to create disturbances, has now come down on the indian border by targeting residential areas of the Indian border through the army when it failed to carry out terrorist activities.

Since the abrogation of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has been constantly trying some manoeuvres. On the one hand, Pakistan is seeking help from other countries on the Kashmir issue all over the world. However, repeated violations of the ceasefire along the border are trying to worsen the atmosphere in the valley.
