A Hindu youth is being called for beheading after he allegedly insulted the Quran in Hyderabad, Pakistan. A video of the incident is also going viral, in which hundreds of fanatics are seen shouting 'Sar tan se juda' slogans outside the house of a Hindu youth. The mob has entered his house and is threatening to kill the Hindu youth by pleading with the police to hand over the Hindu youth to the mob.

According to media reports, the Hindu teen has been identified as Ashok Kumar. He is a sweeper at Rabia Center in Sadar, Hyderabad. Police have registered a case of blasphemy against Ashok under section 295B of the Act.

Shop owner Bilal Abbasi is the complainant. It was Abbasi who reported Ashok, a sanitation worker, to the police for disrespecting the Quran. After this the police went home to take the sweeper into custody, but in no time a huge crowd gathered on the streets. These people demanded only 'Ashoka' to be given. At the same time, the crowd was raising slogans of 'Sir Tan Se Juda'.

As the situation worsened, the Hyderabad Police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. However, the crowd of enthusiastic people dispersed and kept on demanding that Ashok be beheaded. After this the police took Ashok into custody. According to reports, a Muslim woman burnt a copy of the Quran; Ashok had no role in the incident.

But the Hindu sweeper and Bilal Abbasi already had a bad relationship. As a result Abbasi made serious allegations like blasphemy, which put the lives of Ashok and his entire family in danger.

Let us tell you that allegations of blasphemy are a way of atrocities on minorities in Pakistan. The fundamentalists will then decide what to do with the minorities. Some are brutally murdered in the street, while others who appear in court are still sentenced to death by the judge.

According to think tanks such as the Center for Research and Security Studies, Pakistan has registered 1415 blasphemy cases since 1947. In which 71 men and 18 women got death sentence from the court. However, the actual number may be much higher than this. Minorities in Pakistan are subjected to blasphemy as well as other tortures such as kidnapping, rape, murder and conversion.
