Many religious communities which includes Pakistani Muslims appreciated India Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event in Australia for his ‘ability to respect all communities'. The Vishwa Sadbhawana event an initiative of the National Institute of Design foundation was organized at Bunjil Palace in Melbourne in Australia on Sunday, April 23.
Religious leaders, intellectuals, scholars, preachers and researchers attended the event organized by the National Institute of Design Foundation in association with The Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF), National Institute of Design Foundation New Delhi, and Namdhari Sikh Society.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's Dr. Tariq Butt, a native of Lahore, said, "I believe there is now more outreach between Indian Muslims and Pakistani Muslims as a whole. More similarities than distinctions are what we hope to bring. Modi has to be a mumkin.
He asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing the right thing by promoting the communities to engage with other communities to encourge harmony and peace, as per reports.
The Sadbhawana event is a project started by National Institute of Design Foundation that aims to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," in which he referred to the entire world as "one family," throughout the entire globe.
"We recently had an event where we had a university, a new chapter of our university - Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah in Mumbai's Marol, and Modiji himself had come and one of the things he said to us was that please don't call with a lot of honorifics," said Tahar Shakir, a representative of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community from Karachi. "Our community respects Prime Minister Modi, and we now have a fantastic relationship. Over the past nine years, we have had a great time together. When he lands in Sydney, our community will be there to welcome him," he said. An Ahmadiyya Muslim from NSW, Australia named Imtiaz Ahmed Naveed praised PM Modi for his efforts to promote peace. "I feel that he is working extremely hard, bringing all religions to one platform, talking about their advancement, and attempting to create peace, whatever news I see. I believe he is making an effort.
The Anglican Church of Australia's Philip James Huggins noted that under PM Modi's leadership, relations between India and Australia had flourished.
In order to participate in the QUAD leadership conference, PM Modi will travel to Australia in May. The statement was made at a news conference that the Prime Minister and Anthony Albanese, his Australian counterpart who was in India for four days in March, jointly convened.
