Jammu: Two terrorists and an OGW (helper of overground worker/terrorists) have been gunned down in an encounter on Haiderpora bypass in Srinagar last Monday, November 15, 2021. Altaf Ahmed (landlord) was injured in the firing by terrorists. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Questioning the encounter, the PDP (People's Democratic Party) has demanded action in the case. One Pak terrorist was among the slain terrorists. Who has been identified as Bilal Bhai. The second terrorist was Amir from Banihal.

Kashmir Zone IG Vijay Kumar said police received information that 2 to 3 terrorists went to a house and hid. We cordoned off and started searching. There were three rooms on the upper floor. We asked landlord Altaf and businessman Mudasir Gul to come out. Meanwhile, the militants started firing. After which the security forces also took the lead and managed to kill two terrorists. Saving people in this operation was a big challenge.

IG said Altaf had given rooms to Mudasir and was operating an unauthorised call centre. From where 9 computers and weapons have been recovered. A map of the USA has also been seized from here. We have got numbers from many countries from the call centre. Which are being processed. Mudasir was running a module and escorting the terrorists to the spot. It has been learnt that the security forces exercised restraint keeping in view the security of the local citizens and the crowd in the area in the evening. Security forces have been attacked downtown on Sunday. The terrorist was involved in that attack. One policeman was injured in the encounter and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
