Lucknow: Pankaj Patel husband of Pallavi Patel, who defeated Keshav Maurya in the UP assembly elections, has resigned from his party Apna Dal Kamerawadi. Pankaj Patel was the national general secretary of the party. He has resigned from both the post and the party. It is being said that Pankaj Patel has resigned after differences with the party's national president Krishna Patel, though nothing is clear in this regard at the moment. What has happened due to the differences has not yet come out but he has said goodbye to his own party.

Let us tell you that Pankaj Patel Niranjan is married to Pallavi Patel, daughter of Sonelal Patel. Pankaj Patel has been associated with the Sangh Parivar since his marriage. He has been a full-time active member of the Union. Earlier in October last year, there was an uproar in the family over the legacy of Apna Dal founder Sonelal Patel. Sonelal Patel's two daughters, Anupriya Patel and Pallavi Patel, had already appeared to be in for political supremacy.

Sonelal Patel's third daughter Aman Patel had levelled serious allegations against his elder sister Pallavi Patel. Aman Patel had written a letter to the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) accusing her eldest sister and Apna Dal working president Pallavi Patel of grabbing her father's property. At the same time, she demanded immediate security arrangements for mother Krishna Patel. Apart from this, she had also accused the elder sister and her husband Pankaj Niranjan of putting undue pressure on mother Krishna Patel. Aman Patel, in a letter to the DGP, had said that after the death of her father in 2009, with the approval of her mother Krishna Patel and all the sisters, the elder sister Pallavi took over the reins of the entire business of the father in Kanpur.
