The actress was born in Assam and her father was a retired army officer. She wanted to practice law before joining the entertainment industry. In her first year of his college, she got a chance to work in commercial and TV advertisements. Ekta Kapoor was taking the auditions for the TV serial 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi' after watching Panchhi in the ad. In this ad the actress played the role of a radio jockey. After this show, she decided to complete his graduation.

The actress completed her graduation by taking admission in Bachelor of Arts. After this, Ekta Kapoor once again approached her for the TV serial 'Qayamat'. But, Panchi had refused to work in it.  When Ekta narrated the script to her, she was ready. She became a household name. After this show, Panchhi worked in many TV shows. She has also been a part of CID.

She started acting in the south industry and was featured in film 22 Yards has worked. Apart from this, she has also been a part of Telugu film. Panchi married non-actor Jaideep on 17 January 2017. After marriage, she distanced herself from acting and started spending more time with her family. Now she is the mother of two children and spends all her time taking care of them.
