Fans are going to be waiting for Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt's movie Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has put Gangubai Kathiawadi for the theatre release. So, even after the shooting is over, fans waiting for the film on the OTT platform will have to wait for its release in theatres.

He quoted a source close to the project as saying, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali is very happy with the end result of the project. He feels Gangubai Kathiawadi is his biggest and best movie to date based on visuals and emotions.'' It cannot be relocked at any cost on the OTT platform. The source further said on the question of the situation with the extension of the pandemic: 'Sanjay Leela Bhansali will wait, no matter how long it takes.'

The shooting of the film has ended recently. Alia Bhatt shared the news with the team on her Instagram. She wrote, "We started shooting for Gangubai on 8th December 2019. And, after two years, we have completed it. Due to this, we faced two lockdowns, two storms, the infection of the director and the actor by the corona. The difficulties faced on the sets can be filmed separately.'' Gangubai plays the role of Alya Maaziya Queen Gangubai in Kathiawadi. His look from the film had garnered a lot of buzzes.
