Today i.e. on August 20, renowned classical music singer Pandit Jasraj will be given a final farewell with full state honors. His body has reached Mumbai from New Jersey, USA on Wednesday. His funeral will be broadcast live on several social media platforms. On Monday, Pandit Jasraj died at his New Jersey home in the US due to a cardiac arrest.

The funeral of Pandit Jasraj will be done on the Pawan Hans cremation ground of Vile Parle. Classical singer Pandit Jasraj will be cremated today with state honors. As a state honor, the body of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj will be wrapped in the tricolor. Then 21 bullets will be fired from the rifles to be given state honors. Subsequently, the body of Pandit Jasraj will be taken to Pawan Hans crematorium at Vile Parle.

Also, his funeral will be broadcast live on several social media platforms. On Facebook, Art and Artists and on the page of Durga Jasraj, Sarang Dev, Madhura Jasraj and Pandit Jasraj Fans, will be live from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The same Pandit Jasraj was honored with three Padma titles - Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. Pandit Jasraj dominated the Indian classical music industry for eight decades. He was trained in classical music at the age of only 14. With this, everyone will have their last darshan through live broadcasts.
