Pappu Yadav has merged his party with Congress. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the MP decided to merge Jan Adhikar Party with Congress. He can contest Lok Sabha elections from Purnia seat. His wife Ranjit Ranjan is a Rajya Sabha MP of Congress. His son Sarthak has also joined Congress. Reports say that Priyanka Gandhi played an important role in getting Pappu Yadav included in Congress.

Our ideology is secular - Pappu Yadav: The news says that after joining Congress, Pappu Yadav has said that Jan Adhikar Party contested three elections. Which includes elections for two assemblies and one Lok Sabha. This party also had to struggle for a long time. Our party is known for service, justice and struggle. Our entire ideology was always in line with the ideology of Congress. The ideology of Congress has always provided us energy. The foundation of our politics has been secular. No attack on any religion. It was my history to respect the opinions of others in every situation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pappu Yadav had met RJD Chief Lalu Yadav and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav. While sharing the picture of the meeting, Pappu Yadav said that the meeting took place in a family atmosphere. Together we discussed the strategy to bowl out BJP on zero in Bihar. The target is to strengthen India alliance in Bihar, 100 percent success in Seemanchal, Kosi, Mithilanchal.
