Mother-in-law of Bollywood veteran Paresh Rawal and mother of Swaroop Sampat Rawal, Dr. Mridula Sampat, passed away. Mridula Sampat, a doctor by profession, breathed her last at her Mumbai home. Dr. Mridula Sampat was 92 years old. Dr. Mridula Sampat was the wife of Gujarati theatre actor Bachchu Sampat. Swaroop Sampat has also paid an emotional tribute to his mother in a social media post.

Paresh Rawal was also very close to his mother-in-law. He had lost his mother long ago. The actor revealed that his mother was put on life support, and doctors have told her that a major surgery is required for proper treatment. Paresh has also said that after examining his mother, the doctors informed him that surgery would not be possible. He said, When my mother collapsed, she remained in a coma for 12 days.
