However, among all these, we have seen a record increase in the sale of Parle-G. The sale broke 82 years old record. Parle-G was very helpful for the migrants who travelled hundreds of thousands of kilometres in the lockdown. There has been a huge jump in its sales due to purchases by voluntary organizations, self-help migrants.

According to media reports, Parle-G has been a very popular brand of common people since 1938. In the lockdown, this biscuit of only 5 rupees has made a new record of sales. According to the information shared by the company, Parle-G's sales during the last three months, March, April, May, has been the best in the last 8 decades. During the lockdown, many people had stocked Parle-G biscuits.

According to media reports, Mayank Shah, the category head of Parle Products, says that the market share of the company has increased by about 5 percent, of which 80 to 90 percent growth has been due to the sale of Parle-G. In addition to Parle-G, Britannia Good Day, Tiger, and Parle's sales of biscuits like Crackjack, Monaco, Hide & Seek have registered a tremendous increase.
