New Delhi: Winter session of Parliament can be a disaster for Corona. The government is yet to take a decision on the last session of the year. The winter session of Parliament usually starts from the third week of November. But the speed with which corona cases are increasing in Delhi, it seems that the government will not call the session and will conduct a budget session directly in the end of January next year.

There have been two sessions of Parliament this year. The budget session had to end early in March to prevent the spread of lockdown and corona infection. It was decided to end the monsoon session before the scheduled time. Usually, the winter session of Parliament is of three weeks duration. The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs determines the date and duration of the commencement of the session. After this, it is sent to the President but no meeting of the committee has been held so far and government sources have also indicated that no meeting is scheduled in the near future.

A minister has said that a lot will depend on the state of the epidemic. If there is no winter session, the government can go for the budget session, which will be the first session of the new year.
