BCCI canceled the title sponsor deal with Chinese mobile company VIVO for the 2020 season of IPL. Although VIVO may return as IPL title sponsor next year, it will not happen in the current time. With VIVO removed as the title sponsor of the IPL this year, Patanjali could be the main sponsor of the world's most expensive T20 league, at least for this season. According to ET's report, Patanjali is also the bidder for the title sponsorship of IPL, Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala said, "We can consider the title sponsorship of IPL for this year, as we can bring the Patanjali brand to the global reach and want to give the stage." Patanjali is considering making a proposal to the BCCI.

Jio and Tata Group have also shown interest in this, because after a long time, a big event is going to happen. There has not been a single event since last 6 months, through which companies can promote themselves.
