Amid this criticism there is a new update about Pathaan’s OTT release date.
According to news reports, Pathaan has locked its OTT release date and platform. Pathaan will hit the digital streaming platform Amazon Prime video. The film is eyeing an April release on the OTT space, locking April 25 as the digital release date. However, Yash Raj Films is yet to confirm.
This report came after the Delhi High Court on Monday directed Yash Raj Films (YRF) ( Production of Pathaan) to add some changes to the film for its OTT release. According to the information, the court has asked the production company to add 'subtitles, close captioning and audio description in Hindi' for hearing and visually-impaired people to enjoy the film OTT platforms. The court has asked YRF to submit the changes to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) again for re-certification. As per Bar and Bench, the court directed the producers to submit the details by February 20.
Speaking of the Pathaan, it marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen in over four years. The action thriller also stars John Abraham and is directed by Siddharth Aanand. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on January 25, 2023. It will be released in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions apart from Hindi.
