Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has dismissed the allegations made by Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan as false and a ‘grand conspiracy’ to weaken Telugu Desam Party.

Naidu termed it as ‘Tamil Nadu type drama and said that such dramas will not work in Andhra Pradesh. He addressed TDP MPs and leaders on a teleconference regarding Kalyan’s comments.

“We know where these drama scripts have come from... There are some bigwigs behind this conspiracy. Let them play any number of dramas, ultimately people will deliver the right judgement,” said Naidu.

TDP leaders spoke to the media after the allegations and condemned the incidents terming them as baseless.

“The allegations (of corruption) against me and my son are meaningless and baseless. These are part of a conspiracy. People will understand this,”

Yesterday, during the fourth-anniversary celebrations of Jana Sena Party, Kalyan alleged that Andhra Pradesh has become the most corrupt state after bifurcation. He accused Naidu and his son of indulging in corruption.
