Asia Pacific's most high honours in the golf industry will be conferred on a great supporter of sports around the world. Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, will be inducted into the 2019 Asia Pacific Golf Hall of Fame.

According to media reports, Dr Munjal will be joined with legendary golf players such as Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and other prominent personalities of the golf world such as Dr David Chu, founder of Mission Hills, the world's largest golf resort. Munjal is the co-organizer of 'Hero World Challenge' in Bahamas's Albany. It is a PGA Sanctioned Tiger Woods Invitational event, which is considered one of the most high-profile golf tournaments in the world. He also hosts the 'Hero Challenge', an innovative one-hole knockout contest played under the lights at three major European Tour events.

The title of Hero Indian Open for men has been the sponsor Hero Motocorp, co-synced by Asian Tour and European Tour since 2006.
