In order to combat Covid-19 epidemic, people are advised to stay at home as much as they can. Epidemiologists from this central South Korea have found in their research that more people who are indoors are getting infected due to their family members who are going out. This research was published in the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on July 16.
In this research, 5706 patients were examined who were infected with Coronavirus. In which 59 thousand such people were included, who came in their contact. This research has shown that only two out of 100 people were caught outside the residence by the Coronavirus. One in ten people came in contact with the coronavirus inside the house. In the study, it was also found that when the elderly and teenagers become positive with the coronavirus, then most of the people of the house become victims of this epidemic.
Jeong Eun Kyong, director of the South covid-19 Prevention Center, said, "This is because people of this age group have close ties to family members. Because of which they need more protection or assistance." Research has also found that the risk of a severe case of covid-19 in children is less. These figures were collected from January 20 to March 27.
