On the appeal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole country has turned off electric lights at 9 pm today for nine minutes, and illuminated candles and diyas to show unity and integrity against corona pandemic. To show solidarity in the war against Corona people lit a lamp at door.

Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, people imprisoned in their homes for several days showed solidarity, showing the courage to fight this epidemic. During this time, in many places people also fired firecrackers from the roof of their houses and shouted patriotic slogans. Earlier today, PM Narendra Modi on Sunday (April 5) reminded the countrymen to turn off the lights for nine minutes at nine in the night.

On Twitter, Modi once again wrote the hashtag at 9 am 9 minutes reminding people once again. A few minutes later, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted the same, "Tonight at nine o'clock tonight."
