The news of Farida Jalal's death surfaced on the internet and spread like the forest fire on Sunday.

Farida told an online portal, "Initially, I thought it was some kind of prank but I realized it wasn’t that when I suddenly started getting calls from every nook and corner. It was awkward because constantly I was saying the same thing to everyone, ‘ Allah ka raham hai, main theek hoon’. It was irritating, nevertheless, this death hoax, made me realize that how much people love me."

A Twitter account also confirmed that she is fine but it's not her official account, "Now, I am thankful for all the media houses and journalists, who helped me to put an end to this weird rumor. The funny part was that a fake account on my name on Twitter @FaridaJalal_ announced that I am alive. I want to clarify that I am not using Twitter and request media not to take tweets from that account as my official ones."
