Ahmedabad: The havoc of speed has been seen in Gujarat. In Jamnagar of the state on Wednesday night, a speeding car crushed the people coming back home from the Garba program. One woman has died in this painful accident, while 10 others are said to be injured. Giving information in this regard on Thursday, an official of the city's B-division police station said that the accident took place on Jamnagar-Lalpur road at 1.30 pm last night.
He said that a preliminary investigation revealed that the driver may have lost control of the speeding car. Due to this, the car overturned, but the driver got out of the car and fled from there. He said that the deceased woman has been identified as Aloo Charan (20). While two children are also among those injured. According to him, all the injured have been admitted to a government hospital. Their condition is said to be out of danger. An FIR has been registered against the driver for negligent driving.
The police informed the families of the injured people, as well as took the dead body of the deceased and sent it for post-mortem. At present, the police are raiding from place to place to nab the accused driver.
