Korba: A shocking case has come to light from Korba District Medical College in Chhattisgarh. The woman from a rural area, who came here for treatment, was made to lie on a stretcher and slapped several times by the doctor. This action of the doctor surprised everyone. It is said that the doctor was drunk. The hospital management has taken cognizance of the matter and issued a show-cause notice to the doctor.

It is worth mentioning that a woman from Gerwani village had reached the hospital with a complaint of low blood pressure. The doctor on duty late in the night, instead of treating the patient, treated the female patient like satan. The doctor was continuously slapping the woman's cheek while treating her. Not only this, he was also pulling the patient's hair. The woman's son objected to this action of the doctor, but the doctor was not listening to anyone. Due to this, a person treated there captured this incident on mobile. Soon the video went viral.

Shyam Kumar, the patient's son, said, "The mother's health deteriorated late at night. On this, we contacted 108 and 112 and it was said that it would take time. After that, seeing her health deteriorating, she was brought to the hospital in an auto. During treatment here, the doctor treated the mother like this. He said to keep quiet when he protested". On this whole episode, the Dean of the Medical College Hospital, Dr. Avinash Meshram said the doctor has been identified. The matter is being investigated. Also, a show cause notice has been issued to the doctor.
