PepsiCo expand its operation in Hyderabad adding 1,200 employees

HYDERABAD: American multinational food entity PepsiCo is planning to expand its operation in Hyderabad and add 1,200 employees within the next 18 months.

PepsiCo's Global Business Services Center, which had 250 employees when it first opened its doors in 2019, today employs 2,800 workers. The expansion will result in an increase of 4,000 employees.

The comapny made this announcement while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos. At the Telangana Pavilion, Roberto Azevedo, EVP of Corporate Affairs for PepsiCo, met with the state's minister of industries and commerce to go through the company's expansion ambitions.

PepsiCo's Global Business Services Center in Hyderabad has grown quickly, and Minister KTR expressed his satisfaction with this development. He also pledged that the state government will provide the corporation with all necessary assistance for any upcoming developments.

Presently, PepsiCo GBS is providing vital goods and services for business operations, digitalizing the HR, and financial services of the organisation.

According to a statement from the minister's office in Hyderabad, PepsiCo is eager to take part in sustainability activities in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, including enhancing water efficiency, recycling, and reuse of plastics.

The discussion also covered Telangana state's potential for manufacturing well-known PepsiCo food goods. Dr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, Invest Telangana, and IT & Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan attended the meeting.
