New Delhi: While the fear of the Coronavirus, temples across the country have been closed for devotees, the number of devotees coming to the court of Mata Vaishno Devi is increasing. Devotees of the mother are not afraid of the coronavirus. It is the belief of the devotees that these days, 25 to 30 thousand devotees are reaching Katra every day to see the mother without being terrorized by Corona.

According to the data, from January 2020 to March 15, 12 lakh 6 thousand seven hundred fourteen (12,06714) devotees have bowed at the rate of Matarani. The coronavirus, which has become synonymous with awe, should not reach Katra. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board-Administration, District Administration and Health Department are fully alert about this. The Health Department has started placing posters for awareness in the railway station of the city as well as the main bus station and areas around Banganga Marg.

Posters are also being put up for awareness in schools and colleges. Teams from the Health Department, from Jammu to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhavan are making devotees aware of the prevention of coronavirus from place to place. Shrine board employees have been provided with thermal image scanners on the Deodhi Banganga Marg and the Katra helipad at the entrance of Maa Vaishno Devi. Devotees who come here are being closely examined by thermal image scanners.
