Hyderabad: A Muslim woman in Telangana has accused her husband of allegedly harassing her. Not only this, but the woman says that he has divorced her through triple talaq. The woman has filed a complaint about this. The police has filed a case against her husband under the Muslim Women (Protection of Marriage Rights) Act-2019. According to the information received in this case, the police has given information about this on Sunday. It is being told that the accused has been arrested. This case is being reported as of July 13.
In the same complaint, the woman said, 'she was married in September 2017 and her husband is from Mahbubnagar district.' Further, the woman stated in her complaint, 'She and her husband later shifted to Hyderabad and from two months after their marriage, she and her family started harassing her mentally and physically.' The woman has alleged that her father-in-law tortured her for extra dowry and sleeping. In the year 2018, she gave birth to a child in a critical and emergency situation and she stayed at her mother's house for a few months.
The woman further said in her charge that they later moved to another place in the city and later her husband and in-laws stole her gold jewelry. When she asked about the gold ornaments, they beat her badly and injured her. Her husband locked her in the house for three months and did not let to talk with neighbors or on mobile phones with anyone. Police say the woman has stated in the allegation that he tortured her for divorce.
