New Delhi. Prices of petrol and diesel have been steadily increasing over the last one month and once again, there has been an increase in the price of petrol and diesel on Monday. Petrol price in the national capital New Delhi has increased by 0.15 paise per liter, while diesel price has increased by 0.6 paise per liter. Today, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased to Rs 82.06 per liter and diesel has been priced at Rs 73.78 per liter.

Talking about financial capital Mumbai, the price of petrol has been increased by 0.15 paise per liter, while the price of diesel has increased by 0.7 paise per liter. In Mumbai, the price of today's petrol is Rs 89.44 per liter and the price of diesel has been increased to Rs 78.33 per liter. Earlier, the price of petrol and diesel was increased on Sunday. On Sunday, petrol in Delhi was priced at 28 paise a liter, costing Rs 81.91 a liter and the price of diesel was increased by 18 paise to Rs 73.72 per liter.

On Saturday, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment of the Modi Government, Ramdas Athawale gave a controversial statement about the rising prices of petrol and diesel. He had said that the increased or decreased petrol-diesel prices are not troubled to him as he is a minister and therefore he does not have to buy petrol and diesel. After this statement of Athawale, everybody had been condemned. However, later, Athawale demanded apology for this statement.
