Petrol bomb hurled at the house of J & K education minister Naeem Akhtar

Srinagar, On Monday night, unidentified people attacked on the house of Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Naeem Akhtar. A petrol bomb was thrown at his house in Parraypora area. No one was hurt in the attack.

According to the police official, "A petrol bomb was hurled at the residence of the Education Minister at Parraypora late last night, causing damage to the main gate of the house".

Reportedly, Akhtar was not present at his residence when the incident happened. No injuries or damage to his house have been reported.

Akhtar and his wife moved to high-security Gupkar road after PDP government was sworn into power in March this year.

Meanwhile, authorities continued curfew and restrictions on Tuesday as Kashmir remained shut for the 25th consecutive day.
