Today i.e. on Friday, the new prices of petrol and diesel have been released and like the last many Fridays, this Friday is also a relief. However, the price of crude, which reached below $100 per barrel, saw a marginal rise. WTI crude rose to $102.5 per barrel.  At the same time, Brent crude reached $104.4 per barrel. The companies have not raised its prices since April 6, while crude prices had once gone up to $140 a barrel. Brent crude stood at $113.8 a barrel on Tuesday morning, up from $119 a barrel last week. At the same time, diesel sales grew by 35.2 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 73.8 lakh tonnes in June. In fact, it is 10.5 per cent higher than in June 2019 and 33.3 per cent more than June 2020.
