Petrol and diesel prices continue to be relieved on Thursday. Oil prices have not changed even today. In a relief on Diwali, the Central Government had reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel, after which most of the states reduced VAT.

Apart from Delhi, there has been no change in oil prices in all cities including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata. Petrol is being sold at Rs 109.98 and diesel at Rs 94.14 per litre in Mumbai on Thursday. In Chennai, diesel is being sold at a litre of petrol at Rs 101.40 and Rs 91.43. On the other hand, coming to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, there are prices of Petrol at Rs. 104.67 and Diesel at Rs. 89.79. Petrol and diesel prices in the country had also started rising since the beginning of the coronal. Meanwhile, oil prices had registered a huge jump this year. However, the Modi government had reduced excise duty on petrol by five rupees and diesel by 10 rupees, giving relief to the public on Deepawali.
