New Delhi: Petrol price has been recorded for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday. This has brought relief to the general public. However, there has been no change in the price of diesel. Today, only diesel prices will remain applicable in all metros of the country. Petrol prices have come down by five paise on Tuesday in the metros of the country. On Monday, petrol was cheaper by about nine paise and diesel prices were cut by four to five paise.

According to information received from IOCL, people will have to pay Rs 72.60 for a litre of petrol in New Delhi today. A litre of petrol in Mumbai is priced at Rs 78.28, Kolkata is being sold at Rs 75.32 and a litre in Chennai is being sold at Rs 75.45. Today, only diesel prices will be applicable in metros. People will have to pay Rs 65.75 for a litre of diesel in New Delhi. The price of one litre of diesel in Mumbai is Rs. 68.96, in Kolkata it is being sold at Rs. 68.16 and in Chennai, a litre of diesel is priced at Rs. 69.50.

Let us tell you that the price of petrol and diesel changes at six in the morning every day. The new rates are applicable from 6 o'clock in the morning. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles.
