New Delhi:  Once again, the prices of petrol and diesel are rising steadily. Yes, the price of petrol has been rising for the third consecutive day on Saturday. Oil companies have raised petrol prices by 11 paise per litre in Delhi and Kolkata, 10 paise in Mumbai and 12 paise in Chennai. Yes, diesel has become expensive at 10 paise per litre in Delhi and Kolkata while 11 paise per litre in Mumbai and Chennai. In the national capital Delhi, petrol has become costlier by 23 paise a litre in three days and diesel prices have gone up by 21 paise a litre in these three days.

As per the Indian Oil website, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai rose by Rs 70.28, Rs 72.54, Rs 75.97 and Rs 73.01 per litre respectively, and diesel prices in the four metros went up respectively. : Rs 64.11, Rs 66.03, Rs 67.22 and Rs 67.81 a litre. You may know that petrol and diesel prices are on the rise in the international market in the past as India imports about 84 per cent of its oil requirements.

While crude oil is expensive in the international market, many petroleum products, including petrol and diesel, become costlier in India. Oil marketing companies (OMC) decide daily petrol rate (petrol rate) and diesel rate (diesel rate) and Indian Oil(), Bharat Petroleum(Bharat Petroleum) and Hindustan Petroleum Hindustan Petroleum daily at 6 a.m. Petrol and diesel continue to revise the rates.
