New Delhi: Diesel prices in the country have reached historic levels again today. For the first time in the country, the price of this fuel has crossed Rs 81. On Monday, the price of diesel increased by 11 paise per liter by state-run oil companies to reach an all-time high of Rs 81.05 in Delhi. On this day, however, no amendment has been made in petrol prices.

It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday also, the price of diesel had increased by 25 paise, while the price of petrol had increased by 5 paise on June 29 last. Delhi is the only state in the country where expensive diesel is being sold from petrol. Government oil companies today only increased the prices of diesel by 11 paise, while petrol prices did not change. Even yesterday, only diesel became costlier by 16 paise per liter.

On the other hand, talking about petrol, there has not been any increase in it for the last 14 days. The last increase in its price was on June 29, that too only 5 paise per liter. In Delhi today, ie on 13 July, Monday, petrol prices remained steady at Rs 80.43 in the previous days, but diesel jumped and crossed Rs 81. Now the price of one liter of diesel has been increased to Rs 81.05.
