New Delhi: Inflation on the common man continues to rise. Oil companies have once again hiked the price of diesel and petrol today. With this increase, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up to more than Rs. 85. On Tuesday, oil companies have hiked the price of diesel and petrol by 25-25 paise per liter.

Petrol has reached Rs 85.20 and diesel by Rs 75.38 a liter in Delhi after the hike on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. Similarly, petrol has been hiked by Rs 91.80 and diesel at Rs 82.13 a liter in Mumbai, petrol at Kolkata at Rs 86.63, and diesel at Rs 78.97 a liter, and petrol at Chennai at Rs 87.85 and diesel at Rs 80.67. Petrol has been hiked to Rs 84.83 and diesel by Rs 75.83 in Noida, Delhi.

Earlier on Monday also, oil companies had hiked the price of petrol and diesel by 25 paise a liter. Let us say that despite the softening of crude oil in the international market, the price of petrol and diesel in the country is continuously increasing. On the rise in the price of petrol diesel, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan says it is the compulsion of oil companies to do so. "Our main challenge is to import 80 percent of the crude oil requirement," he added.
