New Delhi: According to data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) in the earlier week, there was an inventory of 4.174 million barrels of crude oil in the week ended November 13. OPEC +, an organization of oil-producing countries, has indicated an increase in production after the claim of finding corona vaccine. This has softened the crude oil market.
In the domestic market, after 48 days, the price of petrol and diesel has increased today. Government oil companies have made petrol costlier by 17 paise per litre in Delhi today, while diesel has also increased by 22 paise per litre. In Noida, petrol has increased by 25 paise per litre and diesel by 23 paise per litre. The petrol reached Rs 70.68 per litre at Rs 81.23 in Delhi's capital on Friday.
The increase in petrol prices started from the beginning of the second fortnight of August, it continued till last September. Talking about the national capital Delhi, then in the last 13 instalments, petrol became expensive by 1.65 paise per litre. After the price remained stable for a few days, after the last September 10, it was seen to stop and it has decreased by Rs 1.19 in the last month.
