Petrol-diesel prices rise for the third consecutive day, know the latest price

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have increased for the third consecutive day on Sunday. The prices of both fuels rose for the first time after being unchanged for 48 days on Friday. According to Indian Oil, a leading public sector oil marketing company, today the price of diesel has been increased by 18 to 20 paise and petrol by eight paise per liter in four major metros of the country.

Diesel became costlier by 19 paise and petrol by 08 paise per litre in Delhi. Earlier in the domestic market, the price of diesel was last revised on October 2, while the price of petrol was stable for the past 58 days. According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, petrol is being sold in Delhi today at Rs 81.46 while diesel at Rs 71.07 per liter. Petrol is being sold at Rs 88.16 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 77.54 per litre in Mayanagari Mumbai.

In Kolkata, the price of petrol has been increased to Rs 83.03 per litre and the price of diesel to Rs 74.64 per litre. Petrol in Chennai has been priced at Rs 84.53 per liter, while diesel has been priced at Rs 76.55 per liter.
