Petrol prices reached the highest level since October 2, diesel price falls

New Delhi: The price of petrol continued to rise for the third consecutive day on Sunday, while the prices of diesel consumers got relief for the second consecutive day. Petrol prices have again increased by 10 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while by 11 paise per liter in Chennai. However, the price of diesel has been reduced by six paise in Delhi and Kolkata, while by seven paise per liter in Mumbai and Chennai.

Petrol has become costlier by 34 paise a liter in the national capital in three days, while diesel prices in Delhi have come down by 11 paise per liter after two consecutive days of cuts. According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has increased to Rs 74.54, Rs 77.22, Rs 80.20 and Rs 77.49 per liter respectively.

However, diesel prices in the four metros have been reduced to Rs 65.73, Rs 68.14, Rs 68.94 and Rs 69.47 per liter respectively. Let us tell you that the price of petrol is at the highest level after October 2, 2019, at that time, petrol was being sold in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai at Rs 74.61, Rs 77.23, Rs 80.21 and Rs 77.50 respectively.
