New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have increased for the third consecutive day in the country. Today, diesel has become costlier by nearly 23 paise and petrol by nearly 18 paise per litre in four major metros of the country. Today, the price of diesel has increased by 23 paise in Delhi. With this, it has gone beyond Rs 73 per litre.
After August, diesel prices have again crossed Rs 73 per litre. The price of petrol has increased by 20 paise per litre. The prices of both fuels have come down to Rs 82.86 and diesel 73.07 per litre respectively. Oil marketing companies have raised petrol prices by Rs 1.80 per litre in 12 times during the last fortnight. Diesel has also become expensive by Rs 2.61. Petrol in Mumbai has increased by 19 paise to Rs 89.52 per litre and diesel has increased by 24 paise to Rs 79.66 per litre.
In the capital of West Bengal, the price of petrol has increased by 19 paise to 84.37 rupees and the price of diesel has increased by 23 paise to 76.64 rupees per litre. The price of petrol and diesel has also increased in Chennai. Petrol prices have increased by 17 paise to Rs 85.76 per litre and diesel prices have risen by 21 paise to Rs 78.45 per litre in Chennai.
