New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were cut again for the second consecutive day on Friday. In the national capital Delhi, petrol has been cut by 30 paise and diesel by 22 paise in these two days. Oil marketing companies on Friday cut petrol prices by 15 paise in Delhi and Mumbai, 14 paise in Kolkata and 16 paise in Chennai. Diesel prices have been reduced by 13 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, while in Mumbai by 14 paise per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has come down to Rs 71.14, 73.82, 76.83 and 73.91 per liter respectively. In the four metros, the price of diesel has also come down to Rs 63.81, Rs 66.14, Rs 66.82 and Rs 67.34 per liter respectively.

Prices of petrol and diesel are being cut due to the fall in the prices of crude oil in the international market. The benchmark crude oil Brent crude price has again fallen below $ 50 per barrel in the international market. At the same time, the price of American light crude has slipped to below $ 46 per barrel. Due to the spread of the corona virus worldwide, pressure is being seen again on the price of crude oil.
