New Delhi: The trend of falling petrol and diesel prices continued for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday. In the national capital, Delhi, after about two weeks, petrol started getting less than 74 rupees per litre. The price of petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 73.89 and diesel Rs 67.03. Oil marketing companies on Sunday recorded 12-16 paise reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel in the four main metros of the country.

Petrol is selling 72 paise a litre cheaper in Delhi after four consecutive days of cuts and the price of diesel has also come down by 46 paise per litre. According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have come down to Rs 73.89, Rs 76.53, Rs 79.50 and Rs 76.74 per litre respectively. Diesel prices in the four metros have also come down to Rs 67.03, Rs 69.39, Rs 70.27 and Rs 71.81 per litre respectively.

The price of petrol has been reduced by 15 paise in Delhi and Mumbai, 14 paise in Kolkata and 16 paise in Chennai on Sunday. At the same time, diesel prices have been cut by 12 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while in Chennai, 13 paise per litre.
