New Delhi: On the day of Dhanteras i.e. today, petrol has seen a decrease of 12 paise and diesel prices by 7 paise per litre. Let us tell you that till now in the national capital Delhi, petrol has become cheaper by Rs 1.55 per litre and diesel by Rs 1.49 per litre. According to Indian Oil's website, petrol prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai have been recorded at Rs 73.06, Rs 78.68, Rs 75.71 and Rs 75.87 per litre respectively.

On the other hand, if you talk about diesel, the prices of diesel in the four metros have been Rs 66, Rs 69.17, Rs 68.36 and Rs 69.71 per litre respectively. Petrol and diesel prices keep on increasing every day. The new price of petrol and diesel becomes effective from 6 am. After adding excise duty, dealer commission to their price, its price almost doubles.
