Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is repeatedly taking new steps keeping in mind the convenience of its subscribers and pensioners. In the same episode, the department has given the facility of filling up the date of leaving the job to the subscribers. The same means that after changing the job, you can fill the 'Date of Exit' by yourself. For both PF Transfer and PF Claim, it is unavoidable to enter a job leave date. Follow these steps to fill 'Date of Exit' on the EPFO website:
Go to EPFO Unified Member Portal and log in under your UAN and password. After that go to the 'Manage' section. In it, you will see 'Mark Exit' in the drop down list. Click on it. After this, you have to select the PF account number from the drop down list again. After this, the date and reason for leaving the job have to be filled. Then click on request OTP. Now enter the OTP on the mobile number associated with Aadhaar and click on 'Update'.

Apart from this, you may get a message that the Date of Exit has been updated. After this, if you want, you can investigate this thing by going to the service history section yourself. At the moment, you can mark the date of leaving the job only two months after the last contribution made by your previous employer. Apart from this, it is notable that many EPF Subscribers had complained that their old employers were not supporting them in filling the date of exit on the EPFO portal. It is also necessary to fill the Date of Exit in the context of repeated calculation of the service.
