Kochi: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday (September 24) made a big statement, breaking the silence on the violence of radical Islamist organization Popular Front of India (PFI) in the state. CM Vijayan has said that the violence of PFI was premeditated. Condemning the violence, he said that it has caused a lot of damage to public and private properties in the state, and the culprits involved in this will not be spared. Along with this, the Chief Minister has said that 'Yesterday's strike led by PFI has already witnessed plant violence in Kerala. The state has suffered a lot due to this.' He said that it was an attempt to destroy the peaceful atmosphere of the state and the guilty would not be spared.

Talking to press persons in Thiruvananthapuram, CM Vijayan said that most of the miscreants had come with their faces covered and caused great damage to public properties. All the accused will be brought before the law. He further said that the state has never witnessed violence on such a large scale in the recent past. We will not spare the criminals. He said that apart from those directly involved, we will also find out those who instigate this type of violence.

At the same time, BJP veteran and former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has said about this violence that the Left Front government is equally responsible for the violence that broke out on the day of the bandh. Talking to the media, he said that raids were conducted in 15 states, but such violence was witnessed in Kerala because the government remained a mute spectator. He said, 'It was a dark day for the state. The goons were furious and they took the state for ransom and the government machinery was nowhere to be seen. How can the government turn a blind eye to such anarchy?'

The former Union Minister further said that the ruling CPI(M) and PFI wore gloves in hand. This is the reason why violence took place on such a large scale in the state. He said that if the government had been in the mood for strict action, then this violence could have been avoided. PFI workers also bombed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Kannur. Such acts would never have happened in the state without the tacit support of the ruling government. Let us tell you that the Kerala High Court has also taken suo motu cognizance of this violence and has directed to take strict action against the culprits.
