Phoolan Devi, a women who faced a lot of difficulties in her life. A ten-year-old girl who fought for her father's land or a girl-bride, who was first raped by her old husband, was then gang-raped by Sriram Thakur's gang. A dangerous robber, who lined up 22 people from Behmai village and shot them dead. When Phoolan was just 10 years old. She was then married to a 35-year-old man and raped by her husband after marriage, and gradually, Phoolan's condition was so bad that she had to come back to his mother.' Gradually, Phoolan met the robbers. Later Phoolan became one of the main bandits of Goddess Chambal. Later, the Thakurs kidnaped Phoolan and took him to bahamai village and gangraped her for three weeks. Two people were identified by Phoolan Devi who raped her and then shot 22 Thakurs in the village. It is also shown in the film 'Bandit Queen' based on her.

Phoolan was also active in politics. In 1996, Phoolan Devi contested from the Samajwadi Party and won. She was elected MP from Mirzapur. The girl who lived in the Chambal was now living in the magnificent bungalow on Delhi's Asoka Road. She lost in 1998, but won again in 1999. On this day in 2001, 18 years ago, Sher Singh Rana came to meet Phoolan. On the day of Nagpanchami,  Phoolan was shot dead by Sher Singh at the gate of the house. Sher Singh said, "I have avenged the Behmai massacre. Sher Singh Rana was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court on August 14, 2014.
