West Singhbhum: The water supply scheme being prepared by the PHED department in the Saranda forest of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand remains incomplete even today. Due to which once again people living here will have to struggle for drinking water in the scorching heat. Not only Saranda but many villages of the district are not getting water to drink.

Many people, including Baihatu village of Saranda in West Singhbhum district, will not be able to get drinking water facilities this time. Jalminar was made by the PHED department, but to provide drinking water facilities to the people, pipelines were not made to the houses. Not only this, the motor that has been installed in the Jalminar is also of secondary status. The villagers were hopeful that after the construction of the Jalminar, it will now be able to get water to drink, but the villagers are angry with the incomplete work.

The villagers also say that wherever there are pipes in the village, but the work was left incomplete without the pipe of the department and the sensor being put to the houses. The villagers have announced that till the completion of laying of pipes in all the villages, the inauguration of the Jalaminar will not be allowed.
