Piyali Mukherjee is one of the famous actress of the Bengali film industry. Recently, the actress was blessed with a baby boy. Piyali gave birth to a baby boy on January 25. While sharing this good news, the Boxer actress said that she wanted to keep her pregnancy news a secret and no one except her families knew about it. She didn?t even post any pictures of her baby bump on social media. The actress and her husband had decided that only when the little one will arrive, then they will reveal the news to the world.

Piyali, who visited London last year where her husband was working, got stuck there due to lockdown announcements worldwide. Byomkesh Bakshi fame actress said that she was supposed to be there in London for just four months but then suddenly the lockdown imposed worldwide. Piyali got stuck there for several months. The actress further said that she was conceived in that meantime but she was determined to come to her hometown Kolkata to deliver the baby.

When Government of India started the Vande Bharat flights for Indians stuck across the world to come back to their hometown, the actress availed that flight and returned to Kolkata. Talking about the work front, Piyali was last seen in a short film, titled Laptop with actress Rituparna Sengupta. The film premiered at the recently concluded Kolkata International Film Festival.
