An aircraft carrying 177 people at Istanbul airport slipped off the runway during landing. The aircraft broke into three parts after landing in bad weather. One part of the aircraft completely fell apart, while the rear part broke and hung down. The Istanbul governor said after the incident that 52 passengers were injured in the accident. Pegasus Airlines had a total of 177 passengers on board.

Six crew members were on board: According to the Turkish government broadcaster TRT, the aircraft belonged to Turkish economical airline Pegasus Airlines and had 177 passengers and 6 crew members at the time of the accident.
